The subject of Dracula was very soon picked up for stage and movie adaptation with perhaps the most famous and enduring a blatant German copyright violation - the 1922 silent film Nosferatu - A Symphony Of Horror. This led to almost all copies of the movie being destroyed - ironically the only one to survive was an American copy as the American movie industry at the time was unwilling to enforce foreign copyright claims. House of the Dragon’s showrunners have claimed the series will last four seasons, but that may change depending on the story’s direction or show’s popularity. Millie Alcock and the rest of the first-generation Targaryens and Hightowers will, as far as HBO has indicated, not be returning this season in flashbacks. That doesn’t mean that we won’t see them again someday, but at least Paddy Considine does not have to jeopardize his own health for another stunning performance that the awards circuit decides to ignore. First, Daemon must zoom around Westeros to gather as many houses as possible for that fight. I suspect that the strategy set-up will take up much of this second season, but unlike with the book, Rhaenyra might even leave Dragonstone to participate. And we will literally see fire rain down from the sky when the two sides have to force allegiance from reluctant settlements.

Edelmann's assistant Nina shadows Milizia and discovers that the count casts no reflection in a mirror. During the procedure, the count uses his hypnotic powers to put Edelmann and Nina to sleep. Season one opens with King Viserys struggling to name a successor for his seat on the Iron Throne. He didn’t have a male heir in line nor was he willing to hand the reigns over to his volatile brother, Daemon. After much deliberation, Viserys finally chose his daughter Rhaenyra in a desperate bid to keep the Targaryen rule intact. Viserys’ decision to name a female heir was unusual in a male-dominated lineage, causing him to draw criticism from far and wide.
The film’s climax features our heroes storming Yorga’s home at dusk, having overslept despite their plan to attack during daylight hours. The only person to actually enter the castle during this episode is Van Helsing, who leaves the night camp shared with Mina to do away with the vampire sisters. Mina is already affected by her "blood wedding" with the vampire and left within a circle of Holy Bread. Transposing the vampire legend into modern-day Los Angeles was not without its hurdles for the writers.
That night, Lawrence Talbot arrives at the castle demanding to see Dr. Edelmann about a cure for his lycanthropy. Talbot is told to wait, but knowing the moon is rising, has himself incarcerated by the police. Inspector Holtz asks the doctor to see Talbot, and, as the full moon rises, they both witness his transformation into the Wolf Man.
